Re: Bevel to pinion gear meshing

I gave up and just got a pinion puller, and replaced the Lonex pinion with a new Guarder one I found. The shimming sounds much better now.. Thanks for the response though.

Bevel to pinion gear meshing

Hello everyone. For a long time now, I have been tolerant to a little whine from my shimming, but now it is getting rather disheartening. I am using a Lonex pinion gear with an SHS bevel gear, and I know that the two do not mesh very well with each other. What are some good pinion and bevel gear com...

Re: Spring VS. Gas

Pros: -Smexy -Silent -Uses less BBs Cons: -Will have about the same range as an AEG if no mods are done -No full auto, so you will probably lose any close range encounter -Long barrel gets in the way if you are in thick forest -Will cost a lot to upgrade -Takes a lot of skill (finding good cover, st...

Re: High speed gearset with High FPS spring

Unless the motor is heating up a lot, all you should worry about from those things is the health of the pinion gear. If your shimming is decent, it should be ok. The battery and mosfet should not be affected too much.

Re: High speed gearset with High FPS spring

Yes. It depends on the motor strength. The Siegetek gears should handle the spring, but the gear ratio will put more stress on the motor.

I use 16:1 ratio gears with M130-M140 springs, and I use 18:1 ratio or higher gears M150+. FYI I use a Lonex A1

Re: Matrix 3000 motor not firing

There is a jam in your gearbox. This could be caused by stripped teeth, bad shimming (unless you haven't opened your gearbox before), etc. Try to refrain from pulling the trigger if the motor is not spinning when in the gearbox. It just creates a lot of resistance and heat, which is not very good fo...

Re: New Aeg (Choices)

Oops. I thought he said that he liked G36s and M4s. My bad.

My friend has a JG G3 that I am currently working on, and I am very satisfied with the quality of the internals.

Re: New Aeg (Choices)

If you are not willing to spend more than $140 on a gun, then a JG M4 would be ok. You would have many more choices if you were willing to spend $200 though.

Re: WELL MB05 Hop-Up

So the hop-up on my WELL MB05 broke, and I'm looking to replace the entire hop-up (bucking included) rather than repair just the broken part. Let's assume every other internal part is stock. How can I upgrade only the hop-up without having to purchase a new barrel or something like that? When my L9...

Re: vsr 10 spring deforming and angel custom cylinder kit

There's 9mm and 13mm springs/pistons/spring guides. 13mm is better. Sounds like you have a 9mm spring on a 9mm spring guide with a 13mm piston. The spring, spring guide, and piston should all be pretty tight against each other. That was exactly what I was going to say. If you have the wrong spring ...
