Is it bad to keep airsoft guns on full auto?

While im playing an airsoft match it ok to keep my gun on full auto or should i only turn it to auto when i need it. I pretty much only use auto though.

This isn't exactly a bustling, popular forum. But to answer your question, it depends on what exactly you mean.

In terms of your guns longevity, full auto will obviously make it break faster, but the difference is likely negligible. Just don't dump an entire hicap at one time. A good rule of thumb is 2-3 second bursts.

In terms of gameplay, most milsim types prefer to stick to semi auto for realisms sake(if you're a rifleman) but at a weekend skirmish no one is gonna care.

From a practicality standpoint, airsoft guns are extremely lacking in range and accuracy compared to their real counterparts, so a larger volume of fire is needed to ensure the same effectiveness of your weapon.

TL;DR stick to short bursts
