[Guide] Gearbox Compatibility

Postby APJK-1414 » Fri Dec 04, 2009 5:19 pm

Just post any info about strange or abnormal gearboxes, and I'll add it to the list.

-M249-
Gearbox Shell- Custom (M249 ONLY)
Gears- V2 and V3 Standard
Bushings- Custom
Cylinder- Standard
Cylinder Head- V2
Air Nozzle- M4/M16 type.
Piston- Standard
Piston Head- Standard
Motor- Short Shaft
Trigger Contacts and Wiring- Custom
Anti Reversal Latch- V2 and V3 Standard
Tappet Plate- At the time this is unknown.
Spring Guide- V2

Also, H-Nubs SCS nubs and the like are not compatible, it uses a standard nub and it goes in vertically, so even if you put in a H or SCS, it will not work.

-Echo1 Master Series MP5-
Gearbox Shell- Modified V2
Spring Guide- V3
This is not the gearbox, but I should let you know.
HopUp Chamber- Custom, very similar to a Marui style AK HopUp chamber, so with very little modding you could get one to work.
Everything else on this gun is standard, as far as I can tell.

I dunno if I forgot anything, I have to check

Here's a layout of a Version 2 gearbox.

Thank you very much for the pic of the gearbox. And I added your CM M4 info on the list.

Just some stuff people wonder sometimes...

Echo 1 or KS P90
Spring Guide: V2
Bushings: 7mm Standards (NOT P90-style)
Cylinder, Piston: Standard AEG

This is as much as I can remember as of now, It's been a while since I opened the V6. HolyHand or someone else who still has one, mind adding the rest?

Oh, and in that picture, a few parts are missing like the cutoff lever... I'll make one later

No there all different, but I would do your own wiring, the wiring ASGI sells is over priced.

you need to use the standard switches and such, but you can just rewire it with 16 AWG wiring.
