I am really sad. (And need a new knife)

Postby sniper269 » Sat Jan 01, 2011 8:46 am

I live in a small town in up state New York and there was this great knife company called camillus cutlery, it was one of the oldest cutleries in the United states and it made great knifes. It went out of business a while back and it was a sad moment. I got my first knife from them and it was a very high quality not like you see very often to day. Any ways I bought this really nice multi tool from them and it got stolen. Camillus cutlery knives are very hard to find now and they sell for a lot. This knife was very special to me and I lost it. Is there any other alternatives for a really nice multi tool with like screw drivers, pliers, and other stuff like that. I want to stay away from Swiss army because I do not like them. Leather men knives are ok but I never really liked them. Any other alternatives? Sorry for the long post. Thanks :D

Many knife makers make knives with screwdrivers and the like. I'm not entirely briefed on the older styles of knives that if memory serves camillus made, however, in newer knives, as far as I know, you have ruled out the two main styles of knives with screwdrivers and the like. Multi-tools and SAK's, I carry a Gerber Obsidian, it will take a hair popping edge (not sure for how long though) and has a philips and flathead screwdriver built in, it's not the greatest design, not the highest quality, but it's all I can think of off the top of my head that fits your needs.
I make and sell custom cutting boards. Pricing is very reasonable and the worksmanship very good. PM me if interested.

Ok, I mean I will take any style of knife. I really like the skeleton frame look. I am looking for something that will go through hell and back. I mean if there are any really good leather men or Swiss armies I will take a look but the older ones I have had I thought they were not that great. I need one for working on air soft guns like if I need to field strip one or do a quick repair. :D

I have a Leatherman wave, and I love it, no complaints. Dad has a Leatherman Supertool, and my buddy has a leatherman juice. Looking for skeleframe? Leatherman Skeletool.

Check out the:

Spyderco SpydeRench ~ T01

It's one of the coolest multi tools you will find any where and almost noone has one. Everyone is always asking me where I got mine and who makes it.
