here's what I've got and the problems I've had with 'em
CRKT M16 (cheapo version) Liner lock always over extends, it's a pain in the rear to fix. This is my fiddle around with a flipper knife.
Gerber Obsidian: My EDC For going on two years now, not a long time in the realm of knives, but it hasn't failed me yet. My only quibble is the 440C which couldn't hold an edge with a magnet  It stayed sharp enough through some light pine battoning (dumb plan, don't do it), but it lost a shaving sharp edge in a couple uses
Schrade SP-2: first knife, is now my backup carry because it's tiny and light, again, 440C quibbles
Various Gas station knives for fiddling around
Swamp Rat Knife Works HRLM: two words: Sharpened Crowbar. it's modified 52100 ball bearing steel, differential heat treat to 58 Rockwell, 4" blade, .19" thick, it's an incredibly tough knife from what I can tell, and a quick run over some ceramic stones got it shaving sharp, it still needs to be sharpened more. This company made a folder at one point, named the "Rat Trap" S30V stainless, liner lock, if you ever have $200-$300 to spend on a folding knife, that would be my way to go, or a Hinderer if you could find one that cheap.
sorry if I'm rambling on to no end, but this was just my understanding of how I could help. If there's any other way I can be of assistance, please let me know
