its a kershaw G-!0 hawk. it was on sale for $18! so i was wondering what i need to keep this knife in perfect working condition for as long as possible.

If its a food knife clean it with mineral or olive/veggie oil.

If its for general use clean it with breakfree CLP.

I can't say much for the steel type so maybe someone else can take over about sharpening and or what not to use the knife for (sawing, wood, bamboo)

I have a Kershaw Leek has been in my pocket daily for about 3 month. I really like this knife. Relatively inexpensive, decent quality, etc.
You could flush with solvent, blow out, and dry, and a drop of lube, and you're good.
8-)
bear knife tips/informartion for creating on it so that the final result is really good looking.
