i was thinking of putting "an" n, but then i read this: http://www.dailywritingtips.com/using-a-and-an-before-words/

turns out its only before: The rule states that “a” should be used before words that begin with consonants (e.g., b, c ,d) while “an” should be used before words that begin with vowels (e.g., a,e,i).

No lie i really did read this before posting it, but then... i didn't scroll down...

Similarly, you should use “an NBC reporter” (because “NBC” is pronounced “enbisi”) and “a NATO authority” (because “NATO” begins with a “ne” sound).

So yea, i did wright it right, the way it sounded, when i was proofreading, I corrected it and turned out to be wrong...

hopefully my failure gave you a good laugh, productive correction, improper application on your part.

It's based on the sounds, not whether it is or isn't a vowel or consonant.

if you scroll down in the article, they talk about the sound ^ that is a quote from the article.

ok, the "write" was the **** spell check from Mac OSX Lion.... i would rather the red underline... and i correct it instead of it correcting it wrong.

'nuff said. If you had told me that to begin with, I would have known the problem right from the start!
