Not a bad idea. Still wouldn't change much though as before mentioned. Except for shipping duration.

I just got a letter from Senator Bob Huff of the 29th Senate District saying he is against SB798 after I faxed my complaint about the bill

What really grinds my gears on this is that since I know of no local airsoft fields near me, and the closest airsoft retailer I can find is a good hour's drive away, and being a resident of Michigan, there's really not a hell of a lot I can do. I tried emailing the Appropriations Committee, but the only reply I got was a bounce from one email address; I have a sneaking suspicion the others didn't even get read past "I'm not a California resident, but..."

That's an awful price for for that. I would never pay that much for a clear gun not matter the specs.

ASGI already has an entire section of clear receiver replicas for Canadian users.

I know...

Anyways, what else has to happen to this bill if it already passed Public Safety Committ. Governor has to approve it?

i think it goes back to the first house to make compromises on the bill. not sure about that part, but im positive that the governor is the last step.from what i've researched, Mr. Brown is a fan of guns so HOPEFULLY he against this bill.

The paintball community in Southern California stand with the airsoft community and have been helping to try and get this bill repealed. A copy of the petition to repeal this bill has been posted at most all of the paintball fields; especially the Giant Paintball facilities for people to sign. A number of in state (California) and out of state paintball manufacturers have signed the petition and have called their senators and congressmen to voice their opinions that this is a bad bill.

For better or worst this issue may actually bring paintballers and airsofters together for a much louder voice and hopefully this bill will be tossed out.
Doing what I can to earn my title from the old forum, one post at a time.
