Semi-auto Sniper?

Postby OreoWorld » Mon Mar 04, 2013 5:02 pm

I love my bolt action springer to death, but I would love a semi-out gas sniper. Just 3 requirements:
1. No AEGs. I frigin hate em.
2. under $250
3. 550 fps at the MOST
Any options?

The KJW MK1 is kind of a semi auto sniper rifle.

polar star. its like both electric and gas...

It would be pretty rare to find a semi-auto sniper under $250 that is not an AEG. I don't even think there is one. There are gas guns that you could make into a DMR, but that would most likely cost more than $250.

As stated above, I do not believe there are any current PRODUCTION semi automatic sniper rifles. I know there have been some custom projects I have seen at various times; example is the shell ejecting sr-25. I am partial to shell ejectors :). However, who wants to pick up those shells? Mine is 1 at a time bolt action.

The only viable way to reach your goal is to make a dmr. That would easily top $1000 if you use even mediocre parts on a mediocre rifle. Me personally, I would love to see somebody attempt an Inokatsu DMR. Anybody? Maybe a future project of mine.

The KJW MK1 is a pistol, the MK2 is the sniper but it looks derpy. What about SVDs?

The SVD will either be spring cocking or an AEG.

only problem is insane fps. I don't know how I could lower that, considering that my field chono's all guns on .25g

Just a bit over my price range, but otherwise a solid looking option.

I didn't see anything consistent on that chrono. Not good for a sniper rifle.
