From what I recall, the orange tip extends roughly a 1/4 inch from the slide, this can be removed and it will be collinear like real steel. I recommend the pistol.

Sorry a little necro but im still interested in getting a p226 and its stickied so whatever. Is the Cybergun P226 the same as the old KJW p226s, but that it just has trades?

Yes. Cybergun rebrands a lot of the KJW's like their 1911, Sigs and M9's. I don't recall what the Cybergun version costs in comparison to the KJW ( I thought it was like $115 to $150, but may have changed ) From what I saw at a local store, the Cybergun Sigs are now coming with the threaded barrel adapter like the WE/Socom Gear pistols. Either way, its a good buy.

im pretty sure kwa/ksc makes a sig p226, but i think theyre hard to find
Pro tip - Tokyo Marui gas blowback pistols DO NOT need metal slides to run propane. Trust me I own one.
Follow up - I don't suggest metal propane adapters. The one I had broke my mags in < 3 weeks. Plastic adapters have many more pros than metal ones. Don't believe me? HolyHandGrenade has the most experience on the forum (that I've heard of) with any adapters.

Ya they do, but I've heard good stuff about the KJW one so I think I'll stick with that one.

I hate to sorta post off topic/hi-jack/and take this thread away from the guide part, but I have a question. Out of these three pistols, which one would the forum recommend:

KWA M9:
Pros:
moderate gas usage
great rep.
excellent performance
nice externals
KWA warranty
Cons:
price!
magazine price
lack of hi-cap mags(no joke)
no threaded barrel(doesn't really matter ;) )

KJW M92 GBB set:
Pros:
cost
comes with holster
comes with spare magazine
nice externals
hi-cap compatible
Cons:
supposed gas hog
leaky mags
not KWA lol
no threaded barrel

CQB Master 4.3 Desert 1911
Pros:
Cost
built in rail
has special flashlight offer with it
threaded barrel
mag cost
tan externals
Cons:
CQB Master? Never heard of 'em
M1911 design
?

If I got the 1911, I'd get a suppressor and run a precision inner barrel through it and get a flashlight. If I got either M9, I'd get a compensator and an extended mag if the KJW...

Sorry about the wall of text  ...

I personally have not had good luck with KWA gbb's. And I've owned their glock and USP NS2 ( supposedly the best models :P) The Glock was fun because it was an 18c, nuff said but just didnt shoot very well( it was old though ). The NS2 USP sucked though. My friend bought one at the same time and his rocked with much more range and recoil, so many many people have good experience with KWA and I see the reason for recommending them.

Out of those 3, I'd get the KJW M9. Why? TM compat mags and upgrades, cheap, very solid guns. I'm a fan of the thin frame of the 1911, but the tan is ugly imo. KWA M9 I hear is great but I myself won't be buying another.

On the threaded 1911 barrel, a buddy of mine got the Socom Gear M9 and has gone thru three adapters within a month. The things break when they have a can on the end and fire. :s

Just as a note, I got the KJW/cybergun P226 and the barrel eleongates out of the slide and is metal, so it simply cannot be pulled off, that being said if you want that sleek look then you will need a new outer barrel or a hack saw
