**Please take note** Do this over a work surface with no carpet on the ground as there are a few small pieces.
You'll need an Allen wrench set, hammer, and silicone oil.
WA SVI/STI 2011 UPPER SLIDE MAINTENANCE
Remove The Magazine!
Alright slide the slide back to the first notch.
Knock the pin out and pull the slide forward and off the frame.
Push the guide rod forward.
Unscrew the guide rod and remove the spring and guide.
Push the outer barrel forward and unscrew it. Pull the chamber/inner barrel out of the slide.
Flip the slide over and unscrew the rear sight.
Unscrew the two screws under the rear sight and flip the slide back over.
Slide the GBBU/nozzle forward and out of the slide.
Remove the spring from the GBBU and pull out the nozzle/piston head.
Wipe down and wash all these parts. Especially the entire inside of the slide.
Drench the piston head/o-ring and where the gas goes very well. There is no such thing as too much lube in this area.
Also lube the inside of the GBBU very well.
Now lube the slide rails where they come in contact with the frame.
Swab the inner barrel with a q-tip that is soaked in oil. Do this until the cotton comes back white.
Alright now re-assemble your pistol and put a couple dots of oil onto the guide rod.
WA SVI/STI 2011 MAGAZINE MAINTENANCE
Flip the mag so you can see the bottom. There is a pin that you push in, and that allows you to slide the mag bumper forward and off the mag. The pin can be a plastic ring around the valve or here in this picture.
Careful when the mag bumper comes off the spring shoots out. Use a cloth to clean where the spring went and the use a q-tip with silicone oil on it to help the spring slide better.
Next unscrew the inlet/fill valve.
I use a little Teflon on the threads to help protect the threads and create a better seal. On modern GBB’s there is usually an o-ring that should be oiled.
Unscrew the Allen head screw on the back of the mag.
Pull the screw out and lift up and out the valve blocker piece. Be VERY careful unscrewing the valve, and do NOT grab the round piece of the valve with pliers. If it gets smashed even a little the valve will stick. Now lube the three o-rings on the valve and re-assemble that the valve part.
Lastly put a drop or two of oil into the gas release area of the magazine and on top of it.
WA SVI/STI 2011 FRAME/GRIP MAINTENANCE
Unscrew the grip on the right side.
Then the left. Don't worry if the safety pops out.
Next unscrew the trigger guard screw.
Now use an Allen key that sits on the outer diameter of the threads that screw set in. Knock it out (may need to use hammer)
The silver piece that screw held in can be knocked out now and the grip can be removed from the frame.
Make sure the hammer is cocked and the slide safeties are up. Wiggle the left safety off. Followed by the right safety and the beavertail grip safety.
You can see the hammer pin and remove the hammer for maintenance or replacement.
