Both Echo1 and Javelin have a parts warranty that works through the retailer of the product. If your product has broken or missing parts, you get new, free parts. However, the Echo1 M28 is not 100% compatible with aftermarket parts while the Javelin M24 is. This means that you can upgrade the Javelin M24 more, resulting in better performance than the M28. Not to mention that proprietary parts do, in fact, break.
Yeah, I quit airsoft. No regrets.
