The consensus is that the tanaka is built better, the G&G is basically a clone stock with all of G&Gs tanaka upgrade parts in it. Personally I'd get the Tanaka again if given the option. The hop rubber design is better in the tanaka than in G&G's upgrade. Then just get the heavy barrel and G&G's hop unit and you're set.
