vsr 10 sear inconsistancies

Hey guys,
I've had my vsr about a year now and I'm having some problems. I have 2 sear sets for my gun both upgraded, and I'm running an m170 spring with other stuff that I'll list below. So I'll rack the bolt for about 10 or 15 shots or sometimes even A couple mags, and then all of a sudden it will just start slam firing. I know its not the sears because I put a brand new set of shs sears I. And it did the same thing. Could it be my receiver wearing out? Also when I rack the bolt, it is extremely easy to push it back forward. If I point the gun trawrds the ground the bolt will fall right back in. I know its supposed to be easy to do it but I don't think it should be that easy. Do you think a Pdi received could fix this?

Here are the upgrades I have:
Shs and asgi pe sear set
Pe spring guide
Lay lax 170 spring
Pe piston w/new o ring
Custom tapered cylinder head with Teflon tape
Stock hop up
Danger werx type a arm shimmed
A+ bucking with Teflon tape
Masamune 6.01 (getting the pdi raven 6.01 soon)
Barrel spacers

Also what kinda range should I be getting with the set up. Note: I use .4 and .43 gram bbs. I made the hop arm into the type b kind because of the v shape in the bucking

Try using some Lucas White Lithium Grease to ease up the cycling. Either way it'll still be stiff since you're pushing a M170, want a lighter cycle? Use a weaker spring. As for the slam firing it is your sears, as in the famous words of Jonas - "M170s eat springs like candy" especially since your using SHS/ASGI sears that's definitely the reason for the slam firing. ASGI sears bend before they wear down.

Its not that the cycle is hard. Pulling the spring is easy. The problem is that when I push the bolt back forward into the receiver its like pushing a feather. I know it should be easy but the fact that I can just point the gun towards the ground while the bolt is back and it literally falls back into the receiver just doesn't seem right to me. The shs sears are brand new, fit perfectly and move freely in the trigger box. The asgi sears have lasted me 4000+ rounds with the m170 so I understand that they might be going. My bolt wiggles around in the reciever a lot so I'm thinking that it may be causing some bad angles on the trigger box causing the slam firing. This would most likely be because of the guide rings right? I'm getting just under 600fps with the 170 and I really only need 550 so would it be better that I downgrade to a 150 spring? I've Teflon taped everything and replaced all the o rings so my compression is top notch.

If it seems like I know the answers to the problem, I think I might but I don't want to just go out and start buying stuff and have it not work.
Thanks guys get me the info that you can

It might be your spring guide, since you're running a M170 locking the spring guide in place could be hard. Make sure it's flush with your trigger box if not use something to push it the rest of the way, you should hear a snap when you get it in. Sounds like it's your problem since sometimes you slam fire and sometimes you don't and of course it's so easy to rack the bolt forward. As for your spring try cutting on coil only do one or two but make sure you chrono every time you cut a coil.

Look at the sears/piston. You'll probably be able to see what the problem is.

And go for a 150...

Make sure your trigger assembly is screwed in all the way. Also, the bolt sliding forward without force isn't a problem. I've seen many upgraded VSRs do that.

Haha found the problem. Have a hairline fracture on my trigger box near the mounting point. Good thing I have a few extras lying around
