Gas snipers vs aeg snipers vs spring snipers

Postby MadKillerDog1 » Tue Jan 08, 2013 2:09 pm

Whats your opinion? The realism of gas? The performance of aeg? Or the simplicity of spring?

That was supposed to sound poetic...

Out of all three option if I'm going for realism of course gas but I find gas rifles to be very inefficient unless rigged to a HPA.

The performance of aeg?
IMO unless your going for a DMR role a gas or spring will perform just as well or better.

Or the simplicity of spring?
Here's my choice, one because of the simplicity and it's a cheap alternative to a "realistic (aka gas)" rifle.

I don't care for bolt actions, so therefore I'm kinda limited between Electric and gas. I'm not really sure which one I'd pick honestly.. probably an AEG, because I'm more familiar with them. Although I was kinda interested in that KJW NBB rifle, that's based off the Ruger MK2.

That's the kicker. Inconsistent FPS(something most gas guns struggle with) results in less precision, and thus less accuracy(there's a difference between the two, I'm just bad at explaining it). AEG's can be made pretty consistent, but most have less cylinder volume than springers, and the APS2 hopup system is supposed to be better than the normal AEG hopup. Honestly though just wait for Jonas to chime in, he'll know exactly what to say I'm sure

Yeah and with the precision is how small the readings are (in this case how close the groupings are) and accuracy is how close you are to the target.

I think this is a good explanation: Precision is how well your tools do their job, and accuracy is how well you do your job. So anyone can be precise, but only skilled people can be accurate

My teacher is super confusing she will go into all these complicated calculus things and does them in like 5 seconds that would take me like 10 minutes
