Well, just took the G4-A1 to it's first game, and it held up pretty well. Externals are all intaact, and the only gripe I have is performance.
All guns are usually going to have flaws internally and performance-wise. The gun might have shot to the right a bit, or it might just be my red dot playing a dirty trick on me, so I'm not sure about that. Regardless, and tightbore wouldn't hurt. The only other performance issue would be range. I shot it only to have the BB drop maybe 100 feet in front of me. (I'm not entirely sure the normal range on a stock gun, so this may be normal.)
It seemed to shoot further on full-auto than on semi-auto.
I almost forgot, it has a serious feeding problem. The mag wobbles a lot, and I founf myself needing to hold the magazine forward when shooting. The mag well is huge, and while tape may be a fix for some, a mag well has no need to be that gargantuous. I mean seriously, why?
This does justify enough reason to upgrade the gun alot. It's good enough stock, but why stick with good when you can make it better. I love the gun, the externals are solid (with the exception of the beasty mag well. I mean, really?), and I'll defiantly be tossing some new parts in it over time.
