I actually heard that was a myth. I can't confirm that myself, but I know there was some article somewhere about how the bore-up made almost no difference from a stock setup. I think all you really need to do is change your cylinder.

It makes sense. I'm not going to do all the math here, so I'll just BS some numbers.
Say that a 363mm barrel has a volume of 10cc's of air, and your piston has a volume of 15cc's. If you double the length of your barrel you then have 20cc's in your barrel, but your piston can only provide 15cc's of that, meaning that the bb will begin to loose velocity before it gets a chance to exit the barrel.
NOW
In doing that I assume that the current cylinder only has enough air for the current barrel, which could be a false assumption, so I could be wrong in that aspect.

G&G Sig 553 is 360mm, so basically the same as a M4.

Yeah just a little. I'm pretty sure only like one retailer sells them in America, so there most likely wont be a lot of people with them, just thought I would put it in there.

What is the barrel length for the M28 cause a 430mm barrel doesn't fit. Trust me, I know from experience...(GF $70)

:( do you know how the barrel in the M28 is cut on the edges like the part in the hop up how it has a gap and then a small tab on the part closest to the back. That part is cut away so it instead of looking like this...
o
it looks like this
u
But a more circular u or half an o and then the rest of the barrel is normal. Would that barrel be able to fit into any other VSR10 sniper that requires a 430mm barrel or will it not fit? Heres a picture or what it looks like...
