actually i think its just the army, the marines still use the m40a3

No its replacing the m21 sniper rifle. And the other AR sniper weapon system. The M40 is here to stay for a while.

lol, cant help but noticing the sniper arguement..ill join in :)
air force uses the m107 (m82, but they like to call it something else, but i do think it is more anti-materiel than infantry) and m14
army uses m82, m40a3, and m24, and m14
marines use sr-25 (m110 (which is sorta like an m16 but chambered in a 7.62x54mm round instead) to the gun fanatics) and m14
navy uses m21 i think, idk, but it might be m14 ebr (m21 is more of a cod name, while there is an m21, it is really just a scoped m14)
